This winter I was delighted to be commisioned to photograph the wedding of Yeimi and Andrew as they commited their futures together in presence of family and friends onboard a boat on Lake Atilan, Panajachel Guatemala. When I met Andrew to discuss the wedding photography he stressed that it was important to him to have someone working on the day that he could trust to work away from comfort zones and help him feel relaxed on his special day. Flying to a foreign country and applying my trade is thankfully something that I have experience of photographically and from a previous life.
Here I present a short video of some of the pictures from the big day, which will give you a flavour of what a wonderful day it was. Many memories, captured for a life time.
I recomend if you have a decent internet connection that you select the HD option to view.
It was such an honour to be asked to capture this magical day. I personally made some friends for life and it was an experience that I will never forget. Especially being made to feel as part of the family. Although you might hear if you read the guide books about Guatemala that it is a dangerous place, it is in fact such a beautiful country with some of the warmest hospitality I have received. Just like anywhere in the world you just need to be mindful of what you are doing and flash any valuables to tempt fate.
